This was my most successful project and the piece that I spent the most time on, it is a black and white charcoal portrait. I spent over a week on this which allowed me to get the shading and details exactly how I wanted them to be. If I could do a project differently I would add something to the background to either add color or create depth. It looks plain and like it needs something to complete it. I'm comparing the portrait to an eye that I drew. They're both black and white charcoal drawing but for the eye I used a grid and wove a picture of a flower and an eye together. Then I sketched a grid and drew it compared to free handing the portrait. I've seen people in our class use their artistic behaviors to built things out of materials and tools around the class. This could inspire them to create a new invention or a new concept based on something that already exists, like architecture.
